The enemy of logic

I have seen my city yawning,
Where the people roll without aim,
Where they roll in their horror unheeded,
Without knowledge or lustre or name.

I have seen my city yawning,
Where the thoughts hover without prejudice,
Where they hover around still skyscrapers,
Without caution mutating into a dark abyss.

I have seen my city yawning,
Where the opinions drift without directions,
Where they drift in their misty vagueness,
Without memoir but an alien perfection.

I have seen my city yawning,
For it is nothing but,
The moulder of beauty,
The juggler of truth,
The enemy of logic.
